All things jelly!

I don't know what it is lately about jelly.  But it's everywhere this spring.  There's just something about it that's so, well, intriguing, fun, youthful, happy.  Or is it just me?  I recently received my spring browsing book from Nordstrom in the mail and fell in LOVE with these.

These are made by Hunter.  You know, the maker of the classic rain boots?  Anyway, I love how they are branching out away from boots and into these flirty and fun sandals with the embellished H's.

What do you think?  Are you as jelly obsessed I am?

Wedding Wear: Hijabi Style

I recently attended an old friend's wedding in Dallas.  As hijabis, we often struggle with what to wear to a wedding.  Here's what I put together.  Maybe you'll be inspired...

I snagged this gorgeous Tadashi Shoji ruffle skirt at Nordstrom rack for quite a bargain.  Under $60 for an almost $400 (and oh-so-fabulous!) skirt is a bargain in my eyes.  I paired this with BCBG Maxazria peep-toe platforms that I already had in my closet.

Next I found this gorgeous light pink satin-silk top at Forever 21.  Who would've guessed?!  I also added a large rhinestone embellished brooch for some extra pizzazz.

Then I added this rockin' ring-inspired clutch.

Check out the details.  Punk rock chic.  Wouldn't you agree?

Put it all together, and VOILA!  This is what you get.

Add a cute little boy for some fun and interesting conversation.

And call it a night.

Wardrobe Staple: Ballet Flats

Ballet flats are a girl’s best friend. You can pair them with pretty much anything because of their versatility. The best part is the comfort. Here are few ways to style them.

Casual Chic
Ballet flats can be worn everyday and everywhere, such as school, the grocery store, the airport, and so on. To go for a more casual look, style ballet flats with jeans. The jeans tone the look down but the ballet flats still make it look sophisticated. Feel free to play around with different colors and patterns.

Classy Chic
If you want a formal look, but still care about the comfort, ballet flats are the answer to your prayers. You can pair these with anything you would wear to any formal event, such as a wedding, an interview, or work. Going for versatile colors such as black, nude, white, etc. is usually a better option, although adding color is sometimes better depending on the occasion.
